In summer 2007, the UK's Information Commisisoner's Office (ICO) was persuaded that user-centric IdM technologies offered the potential to contribute towards the maintenance and enhancement of individual privacy.
In consequence, and in order to give the field greater exposure and promote market take-up, ICO commissioned Edentity, working with Hewlett Packard Labs, to write a guide entitled 'New approaches to identity management and privacy'. IdM experts from Microsoft and Sun Microsystems kindly helped out with comments. The guide was published on the ICO website (here) in April 2008, or a copy can be obtained from the Download section of this website.
